Remember when I went to the Tiany Kirilove for Vero Moda presentation the first time?

Well, the Fall/Winter 2011 collection was such a success, that Vero Moda teamed up with Belgium's prima
fashionista Tiany Kiriloff again. The presentation of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection took place at the
Belmodo HQ yesterday and I must admit that I like this collection way more than the first one. Wanna see

It wasn't just about having a look at the new collection, you could also participate in an entire photo shoot
wearing your favorite pieces. Plus, you could also get your make up done. I guess you won't be surprised
when I tell you that almost every girl in the room took part of the make up and photo shoot session.

A glimpse at the Tiany Kirilove for Vero Moda S/S 2012 collection.

The designer herself: Tiany Kiriloff. She was wearing a blouse and jeans from the 'True Blue' part of the
collection. Not to forget the cream Acne Pistol boots. They're to die for!

In the Belgian fashionsphere, the name Tiany Kiriloff sure rings a lot of fashion bells. Belgium's most
prominent television shows, newspapers and (fashion) magazines all gathered in Antwerp to get
everything on camera.

We were pampered with lots of yummy food, but Annebeth and I both lost it when we saw these baby
cupcakes. Way too cute.

Now, even if it was one hell of a party, our main goal was to get an exclusive preview of the new collection.
The S/S 2012 collection is divided into three parts and themes: 'True Blue', 'Pretty In Pastel' and 'Prints
Rock The World'. My favorite is the 'Pretty In Pastel' theme. I can't wait to get my hands on the peachy
jacket and the colored skirt. Which one do you like?

A few detail shots of my outfit for two events I'm going to today:

Tiany Kirilove for Vero Moda and the 25 Years Kipling Party.

As some of you may have read on Twitter - or are a big fan of Gossip Girl - I decided to base my outfit on
my beloved Blair Waldorf. She's my favorite character on the show. I wanted to wear a headband with a
big bow to make it 100 % Blair proof, but being the organized person that I am, I can't find it anymore.

I gotta run now - such a busy day, but I'm loving it - so I leave you with a few shots I took in 2 minutes time.

Feature // Ella And Louise

Hey guys!

Time to show you a new feature, but guess what ... This time it's not me who got featured, but my sister
Tiffany. She got featured on Ella And Louise, one of my favorite fashion blogs runned by Kim, Patricia and
Marijs. 'The Story Of Her Shoes ...' I guess the title says it all. My sister talks about some of her favorite
shoes and the story behind them. Let me tell ya, my sister's crazy when it comes to shoes. My favorite
story is the one behind her Isabel Marant Willow sneakers. I'm not going to tell you what it's about, though.

Here they are... My babies... The Chloé Susan Boots. Being the 'rock chick' (haha) that I am, these are
just perfect. Sienna Miller has them in red, but they also come in cream and green. Too bad they also
come with a $ 1000 + price tag. Just a teeny tiny too much for a student like me. Unless there's some
generous sponsor / sugar daddy who wants to donate them to me. Don't worry, they'll get the best home
- or feet - possible. I'm a size 39, just mail me on the email address you see in the top left. Hehe, a girl
can dream, right?

So, what to do? I've searched Ebay already, but for the amount of money they're asking there, I could buy
a brand new pair. So, Ebay's not an option. Asking my daddy for money is not an option either, since he'd
kill me for spending so much money on a pair of shoes. Saving up... Well, that COULD be an option, but it
would take me quite some months. I only work in the weekends and being a student, I don't own tons of
money. Plus, I'm also trying to save up for a new designer bag and that's not working out too well either.
I'm sure that the Susan boots will be sold out very soon, just as when Chloé launched them the first time
in 2008. So, again, what to do?

I remember seeing similar shoes on Chiara's blog. She got them at Sacha, a store which you can find here
in Belgium and in the Netherlands. So, my fellow Chloé Susan Boots-lover Kim and I almost stalked the poor
people at Sacha for these shoes and guess what... They told us they should be in stock again very soon.
Wanna see which one's I'm talking about?

Not too bad, right? The real deal is always better, of course, but these will do just fine until I magically
win the lottery soon.

New // Alexander McQueen Scarf

Hi everyone!

Since I passed my exam, I decided to treat myself to a little something (Always a good excuse). I was
shopping at Obsis - Fashion Point in my home town, when I saw this colorful razorblades printed by my
beloved Alexander McQueen. I already have a one of his famous black and white skulls printed scarves,
so I thought it would be nice to get a totally different one. This grim weather has been getting on my
mood lately, so a bit of color can't hurt. It's perfect to spice up an all black outfit.

P.S.: Never mind the last picture. I need to learn how to fold a scarf in some nice ways.

Beauty // Clinique Moisture Surge Intense

As you all know, I'm not into beauty blogging, simply because I never use new products. I tend to stick to

products I've been familiar with for years -- It's just a habit I've had for a long time.

I've been using Clinique for years now and their products have never disappointed me. So, I thought it would

be nice to introduce you a new product I've started to use just a week ago: Clinique's Moisture Surge Intense;

Perfect for those who have a dry skin.

You have to apply the crème after you've applied your daily moisturizer -- I use Clinique's Moisture Surge.

For those who have a really dry skin in most places can apply the Moisture Surge Intense on the entire face.

If you only have dry skin on certain places - like me in the T-zone, for example - I'd advise you to only apply

it on the dry spots. The crème has been tested on allergies and is 100 % perfume and oil free.

I'm very happy with the result. My skin feels soft and while the dry spots used to be visible before, you don't

see anything anymore now. I'm happy I tried this product out, especially with this cold weather, which seems

to dry out my skin even more.

Outfit // Finally

Hi everyone!

So, I finally managed to wear my Isabel Marant Renell pants, of which I already gave you a sneak peek
here. I had to tailor them first - they were a bit too big - and I also had to find a suitable sweater and
belt to wear with them. Can you believe that I didn't have a simple, black belt until yesterday?

Well, everything's solved now, so my mom and I decided to take some outfit pictures this morning. These
pants are very low-waisted, though. I really have to watch it when I want to sit down. ;)

Sorry for the cramped poses, by the way... But as you can tell from the snow, it's literally freezing here
in Belgium. I'm literally counting for Spring to arrive.

Hi everyone!

I managed to do some sales shopping at Zara a couple of days ago.

The catch? This sheer blouse and these golden glitter pumps. If you're a regular reader of the blog, you'll
probably know that I'm a big fan of sheer blouses (just check my previous post / outfit) and that I own tons
of them. Well, my mom thinks this one's hideous, but she knows I don't care.

As for the shoes, I wasn't such a fan of them first, but my mom persuaded to buy them. They're slowly
starting to grow on me -- Even if I look like an idiot walking on them, since I'm used to walking on much
higher heels.

I love the innocent effect this blouse creates and for me, simple items can create a fashionable outfit as
well as wearing tons of items at once. Just a simple white blouse, a pair of black skinny jeans and some
more notable shoes et voilà, I have my outfit.

A while ago, while shopping in Antwerp, I was stopped by the Glam*It-team and asked if I wanted to get

featured in the 'She's Got The Look'-section. Yes, please!

Glam*It is one of my favorite magazines - I read it every month. So, when their main company announced

that Glam*It would be taken off the shelves, hundreds of Belgian fashionista's were mourning this decision.

The last Glam*It-issue hit the stores this month and I'm so bummed! Even though my picture didn't make it

into the magazine anymore, I'm still proud that they even considered me to get featured. Glam*It's fashion

editor Elspeth sent me the picture just now -- Thanks, Elspeth!

Hate and love. Two of our deepest and strongest emotions...

I love this Latin poem, it has been one of my favorites for many years and those three little words have
always intrigued me. So, I decided to get it tattooed on my ribs today.

A lot of my friends kept scaring me, saying I the pain would be awful, and so on. Well, they're wrong. Or
at least in my case. Of course, it's not peaches and roses, but actual pain? That I did not feel. Got myself
scared for nothing. I can't promise it will be like this for everyone, though. When it comes to pain, my
tolerance is very high, so maybe that had something to do with it.

My dad took some pictures while I was getting tattooed, so I thought it would be fun to show them to you.

As for the result... What do you think? :)

I'll post a better picture later, once all the swelling and redness has disappeared.

One of my New Year's Resolutions was to wear my jewelry more often.

For some odd reason, I always buy jewelry, but never seem to wear them. I'm a big fan of mix and
match, so I decided to wear three of my favorite bracelets together. I just hope that wearing them

together won't cause too many scratches, especially on the Hermès bracelet. That one's sacred to me.

Regular users of Tumblr will definitely recognize these e-cards, which are getting blogged and reblogged
non stop. I am a huge fan of them -- I just love the funny and sarcastic quotes and drawings.

When I saw the e-card above, I knew I had to share it with you. Especially since this card seems to be
made specially for me. When it comes to running, or any other type of sports, I must admit that I
really suck at it nowadays. I used to be very athletic, practising sports such as gymnastics, dance and
horseback riding. When I went to high school - and college in particular - it became more and more
difficult to combine school and hobby's together. This resulted in the worst condition ever. I did
promise myself to start sporting again after I graduate.

What about you? Do you practise any sports or are you in my situation?

I've stalked everyone on my Facebook fanpage - as well as my personal page - with this bag. I've stalked
everyone on Twitter with this bag. I've stalked everyone on Tumblr with this bag. So it is only natural that
I have to stalk y'all too on the blog.

So, I've set up a piggy bank so that I could start saving for a new designer bag. I initially claimed that I
wanted to go for the Céline Boston bag in black. Such a classic, timeless piece which I'm sure I'd use
for life if I'd own it. But yesterday, while having a look at my favorite blogs, I saw this baby on Fashion
Squad ... The PS1 in Orchid by Proenza Schouler. Isn't it a beauty? I'm usually not a pink kind of girl,
but this pink is ... Well ... A pretty kind of pink - Or purple, as Stephanie from Style Laboratory claims. ;)
I know that this color isn't the best color to combine, but I can't get this bag out of my head. #sigh

I looked for the price tag on the LuisaViaRoma-website, and it's quite similar to the Céline Boston's
price tag, which makes it even harder. If this bag would've cost like a gazillion euros, it would've
been easier to make up my mind and go for the Céline Boston bag. I'm literally going crazy.

So, what do you think?

Splurge on a not so timeless, but gorgeous, color or stick with the classic pieces you could wear
with everything? I guess the question above is already answering it and one of my New Year's
Resolutions was to invest in timeless pieces, but still ... Going crazy here!

Hermès // Click H vs. Kelly Double Tour

No, I didn't get a new Hermès-goodie - #sniff - but my sister did!

While I got the Click H-bracelet in purple/blue last summer, my sister got the Kelly Double Tour
bracelet, in a pinkish color I can't really describe, just yesterday. I tried the Double Tour bracelet
too when I bought the Click H, but me being me, I'll probably ruin the leather in no time.

So, which model / color do you prefer?

Literature // The House Of Gucci

A late Christmas gift arrived on my doorstep a couple of days ago. My sister ordered me the book
'The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness and Greed' by Sara Gay Forden on
Amazon.com.

Obviously, the book talks about the Gucci-family and empire, but also focuses on the murder of
Maurizio Gucci, who was murdered by his wife Patrizia Reggiani. My history with the Gucci-tales
goes way back, since a cousin of my grandmother used to work for Maurizio and Patrizia -- She
was a cleaning lady at their home in Milan.

Reggiani got a sentence of 29 years - later reduced to 26 - and was recently given the chance to
get released early. Her response?

"Being released from jail would mean that I would have to work. I haven't worked a day in my
life and I'm not planning to either. So I'm staying right here."

Can you believe it?

I can't wait to read this book, which will be after I finish my exams.

Outfit // Studying

A lot of you asked me when I would post an outfit with my new Isabel Marant Renell Jeans. The truth
is that I have to get them tailored first. I want them tighter around the waist and ankles -- Just a little
bit of patience, sweets. ;)

This outfit was probably inspired by the fact that I have to study for my exams, which will start on the
19th of January. The grey sweater was a Christmas gift from my mom. It actually glitters, but it was
kinda hard to capture that on camera. I like the fact that it's longer on the back and shorter in the front.
It gives that little extra touch. I added the Peter Pan-collar and for that extra 'nerdy student'-effect and
decided to wear my Converse All Stars, since I'm stuck inside.

Never mind the zombie like face ... I've been feeling under the weather for the past two days -- My
throat and muscles hurt. I hope I won't come down with the flu or something, that would be the worst
timing ever.

First of all, I want to wish you all a happy New Year. May all your dreams and wishes come true!

Secondly, I would like to thank you for supporting the blog -- I appreciate every single comment,
email or tweet I receive of you. I hope I'll see you all again in this new year. :)

I initially didn't make New Year's resolutions. While browsing on Tumblr, searching for some new
inspirational pictures for my 2012-map on my MacBook, all those New Year's resolutions popped up
in my head. They made quite a list. Wanna hear some of them?
Here we go:

>> Eat and drink healthier. ~~Candy, cookies, sodas ...~~ I thought about this NYR just now, after I drank
a can of Coca Cola and at a whole bag of potato chips.

>> Invest in basic items a bit more. I used to buy quite some 'it-items', getting tired of them after
wearing them a couple of times. A waste of money, I tell ya. Take those neon Cambridge satchels, for
example. They're cute, but I'd rather invest in a bag that's way more timeless and classy -- Something
I'll have for life.

>> Save up for a new designer bag, hoping that I don't see something else that I want in the meantime
(see previous resolution).

>> Try out some layering. I love to see people wearing different layers (Sabrina from afterDRK is quite
the champ in this category) and I want to try this myself. Not sure if the results will always be what they
should be, though. ;)

>> Throw a print in between from time to time.
>> Find a simple black belt and a simple tee to wear with my new Isabel Marant Renell Jeans.

>> Take my BF on a sushi date. He never had sushi in his life. MUST. CHANGE. SOON.

>> Wear jewelry more often.

>> Get my tattoo.
>> Use my fake Chanel tattoos to get started. Had them for almost two years now, and I've never used
them once.

>> Not care too much about what people say and do my own thing. Such a cliché - #barf - but true.

I'm probably forgetting a bunch of resolutions at the moment. I'm curious to hear about your New

New // Isabel Marant Renell Jeans

My first Isabel Marant-item is a fact. While on a shopping trip to Antwerp with my boyfriend, I
managed to get my hands on the Isabel Marant Renell Jeans, also known as the Navajo pants.
They're from the Fall/Winter 2011/2012-collection and are those type of jeans you either love or
hate -- I've loved them ever since I saw them all over Fashion Week.

I found them at the Graanmarkt 13 store and I know I would've regretted it if I didn't buy them,
especially since they were the last pair in store. The fact that I got them at a 20 % discount makes it
even better. I can't wait to wear them and have already been brainstorming on an outfit. I love them in
white too, but since I rarely wear white (and they didn't have them at the store anymore), I decided to
go for my beloved black. I advise you to visit the Graanmarkt 13 store if you're in Antwerp. Not only
do they have the best items and brands, but the girls working there are also very helpful.

My boyfriend likes the pants too, which kinda took me by surprise. Well, I won't complain about that
matter. ;)

Personal // Christmas

While wishing you a Merry Christmas in advance in my previous post, I am now wishing you a belated

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had an amazing time with your loved ones and I wish you all the best

in the world.

My Christmas consisted out of family, friends and TONS of food -- That's what you get when you

come from an Italian family. A couple of days ago, I was invited to a friend's Christmas party, which

meant I got to spend the night with some of my closest friends accompanied by tons of food (again).

That's me after dinner in the first picture -- Totally tired of eating and resting to let everything sink in.

I wanted to show you some pictures of the Christmas party, ft. three of my closest friends. There are

other friends worth mentioning too, though. Friends who were at the party and of which I didn't

manage to take a picture and friends who were not there, but whom I still keep close in my heart. I'm

going to start with them first:

Sabrina: My best friend since high school. She and I are the perfect example of the fact that you don't

have to see or hear each other every day to know that you can count on each other, no matter what.

Hille: She's been there for me in some critical moments. We've been through so much together, I

couldn't live without her.

Giovanna: The hostess of the Christmas party and someone who's become a close friend over a short

amount of time. We've known each other since high school, but we never really hung out together --

Until a couple of months ago. I'm so happy that I got to know her better.

I feel blessed to have such amazing friends and I hope that you also have those few close friends of

which you know they will always be there for you (and vice versa, of course).

Dario: Together with my boyfriend, my best 'male' friend. He's so hilarious and always makes me

laugh. Plus ... He only lives a couple of houses away, which means we meet up a lot. Those meetings

sometimes result in this ...

Tadaaaaaa! Hahaha, we were just two 6-years-olds when we were making these photographs.

Stephanie: Isn't she gorgeous? Our story goes the same as Giovanna's story. From not hanging out

together while we were in high school, we've been inseparable for the last months. Just like that, out of

nowhere. But I haven't regretted it for one single moment.

Daniela: I've known her since kindergarden, which makes our friendship even more special to me. It's

a very important reason to maintain our friendship. You can not really erase 22 years and I don't want

to either.

Detail // Feather

I got inspired by one of my all time favorite musicians for this detail: Steven Tyler from Aerosmith.
He's well known for wearing feather earrings, feather extensions and God knows what else and I've
been kinda digging it for a long time.

I've been on the search for 'the perfect pair of feather earrings' (Djeez, what a description) and after
quite a long search, I found these red ones. What I like most of the combo with my long hair is that the
feather comes peeking out once in a while and isn't visible all the time. It's funny to see people look at
your right ear while they're talking to you and see them think: "What the hell is THAT?"

Even though I was obliged to buy them in pairs, I only wear one earring. Don't ask me why, I just think
it's more fun. I'm still looking for some feather extensions and my mom is trying to talk me out of it,
saying I'll "look like a chicken" -- She already knows I won't listen, though. Sorry, mom!

Fashion News // Alice Dellal for Chanel

Yes, yes, yes! One of my favorite IT-girls ever, Alice Dellal, will be the new face of the Boy Chanel

handbag collection. I literally can not wait to see the results of the campaign starring the tattooed and

pierced Brazilian model, which is expected to launch in March next year.

As a sign of 'confirmation', a sneak peek appeared on the Internet, showing Alice Dellal being

photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Dellal, former model for Mango and Agent Provocateur, is seen in a

girly ensemble, which is a nice change from her leather, ripped tights and spiked filled outfits.

Alice, who has Charlotte Casiraghi from Monaco as her sister-in-law (how cool is that?), was my

inspiration to shave a part of my hair. You can see the result here. I love how Chanel always manages

to find a balance in being young and edgy, but still classy.

Hi everyone!

Notice anything different? Apart of wearing my contacts again - I do still wear my glasses, though - I

decided to try something different with my hair. Inspired by Mary-Kate Olsen in this picture, I decided

to try out her hairdo ... And I kinda like the result! Do you? It's also the perfect way to hide the left

side of my head / hair, which I shaved last Spring and is growing back now, making it a total disaster.

This kimono-like blouse is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. Even if I like leather, skulls and

everything 'rock-ish', I still am a girl, so I like girly things from time to time too. ;) The clutch was a

birthday gift and I never got around to wear it, until now (obviously).

You might notice something different ... I'm wearing glasses from now on - orders of the eye
specialist. I've been wearing glasses ever since I was 7 years old, but I switched to contacts as soon as
I was allowed to. Well, that wasn't such a great idea ... My eyes are damaged of wearing contacts non
stop, so I have to wear glasses for 6 months straight. My eyesight is really bad (I have - 11 on both eyes
now), so the lenses of my glasses are really thick. Just so you know, in case you were wondering why
my glasses are deforming my eyes / head. I know that almost everyone is wearing these type of
glasses now, but because of the thick lenses, I had no other option. What do you think?

As for the outfit, I opted for faux leather pants, a faux leather jacket and a faux fur vest. I'm also
wearing knee high leather boots and I like the fact that they kinda blend in with the pants, making them
almost invisible. Temperatures are staring to go down at a high speed now, but as long it isn't snowing,
I won't complain too much. My dad bought me this bag when we were on a holiday in Sicily three
years ago. The bag's shape is totally ruined (which is my own fault), but I still love it.

I've been meaning to shoot some outfit pictures for a while now, but this sh*tty weather sure is one hell

of a party pooper. I absolutely detest winter and I hope that it will be over ASAP. And as for snow ...

Well, lets just say that I am not hoping for a white Christmas. #sorry

Since I couldn't shoot new pictures, I thought it would be fun to do a post with pictures of old and more

recent outfits I took when the weather gods showed more mercy. Followers who have been reading my

Outside of the Dior-show at Paris Fashion Week two years ago. A photographer wanted a picture of

New // UGG Australia Classic Short Sangria Boots

Do you still remember that I recently attended the opening of the UGG Australia-store at

Maasmechelen Village? Well, I was gifted a pair of UGG-boots by the friendly people from UGG

Australia, Maasmechelen Village and Oona that day.

Let me get things straight first ... I find it important to be honest with my readers, so here we go:

I usually would never buy these shoes myself. They just do not fit my personal style. But I always was

curious about their secret, since I saw so many people wear them. People in my home town, at school,

celebrities on the set of their new movie / TV-show / whileshopping ... They all have 'em.

I initially chose a pair of black UGGs with a zipper on the sides. You know me, I will always have the

urge to turn to black. When I tried them on, the first thing I said was: "OMG, look at my feet!". UGGs

tend to give your feet a ... well ... lets say 'different' shape. But I got over it and I found (and still find)

them extremely warm and comfortable. Believe me, they might not be the most flattering shoes on earth

- I am aware of that - but they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own at the moment.

So I wore them non-stop to go to school or to walk around the house and in my enthusiasm, I managed

to break the zipper. I went back to the UGG-store at Maasmechelen Village and got to choose a new

pair -- Thank you all, once again. Due to the hundreds of people invading the store on a daily basis ever

since the opening, my size was almost sold out, except for a pair of classic short sangria-colored UGGs.

After doubting and debating for almost an hour and my mom reminding me that I keep saying that I

want to add some extra color to my closet, I decided to get them.

My dad, sister and brother-in-law think they're 'UGGly', my mom thinks they're cute and my boyfriend

thinks they are 'okay' (I think that he doesn't wants to hurt my feelings).

With the news of the Marni for H&M-collaboration flooding the Internet this morning, I suddenly

remembered that these Marni-wedges are hidden somewhere in my closet.

I found these wedges in Maastricht at a 70 %-discount, but I must admit that they are quite painful.

These are the type of shoes that make your feet feel as if they've been run over by a truck or something,

but are way too special / fascinating not to wear. I always get tons of looks and compliments when I'm

wearing these and I'm already thinking about when I can wear them again. Lets just pray that it won't

snow any time soon!

Wanted // Burberry Silver Metallic Pants

While shopping this weekend, I spotted these pants by Burberry and I instantly fell in love with them.

Now, € 750 for a pair of trousers is quite a lot, but they've been stuck in my head ever since I saw them

and I already started a piggy bank to save the money.

I'll probably get tons of weird looks wearing them, but I've already brainstormed on how to wear them.

I think one of my gazillion leather jackets and my leather peep toe booties will do the trick.

Beauty // Cat Eyes

If you follow my blog on a regular basis, you should know that I rarely blog about beauty.
Why? Because I hardly wear make up and I'm not very creative when it comes to powdering my nose.

I was willing to make an exception for this post, since eyeliner cat eyes are my signature look when I
go out or go to events. I finish the look with some red lipstick and voilà, I am ready to go.
Now, applying eyeliner is not the easiest thing to do. It took me months before I could apply it
somewhat decent.

While checking one of my favorite blogs - Belmodo.tv - I stumbled upon an amazing and very easy
tutorial to create the 'Cat Eyes'-look. Do you want to know how to do it?

I finished my internship yesterday and is there any better way than to celebrate that with a fashion

event?

I think not!

Yesterday, I got invited to the opening of the UGG-store at Maasmechelen Village a.k.a. the outlet

shopping walhalla in my home town. Most events I get invited to involve a one hour drive (at the least),

so whenever I get invited by Maasmechelen Village, I try my very best to be there.

When I arrived there at 4 p.m., I saw a huge line of people waiting outside. Since we were considered '

'press', we got to enter the store immediately. I also apologize to the woman complaining that we got to

enter first: Sorry, ma'am!

While talking with some other bloggers, thinking I would have tons of time to take pictures, they let in

the first customers. I have never experienced something like that in my life. Women, men, boys and

girls were all pushing each other to get their pair of UGGs first. I saw a couple of poor guys holding 6

or 7 boxes, while their ladies were running all over the store searching for more furry goodies.

I almost got run over a couple of times, which made taking decent pictures quite impossible.

So I decided to show you some pictures of the total chaos going on in the store.

I got snapped by the Style Today-crew, but totally forgot about it.

Event // Customisez-Moi: Backstage + Show

Last Friday, I took a break from all the preparations for my internship and went to Brussels for the

Customisez-Moi fashion show. I had a great time hanging out with some fellow bloggers / friends

whom I hadn't seen for a very long time.

Remember when I told you about a collaboration for Coca Cola Light? Well, I'll tell you more about it

once I get all the details myself, but this event had something to do with it. Customisez-Moi offers

young and upcoming designers the chance to show their talent and designs. Besides the main

collection, some designers also designed different silhouettes with all kinds of Coca Cola Light-

materials.

We got the chance to go backstage and preview the Coca Cola Light-collection and also got some front

row seats at the fashion show. Backstage pictures are always fun and front row seats just mean better

pictures -- Not that my photographic skills that great, front row or not. ;)

Here are some shots I took backstage and some of my personal favorite items of the collections.

Yes, I am still alive. I've just been super busy with my internship -- One week down, still two to go.

Since it is a national holiday tomorrow, I decided to do absolutely nothing for school tonight.

My friend Hille gave me an Asos gift card for my birthday (you can never go wrong with some Asos)

and I decided to focus on the tops and shirts. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to online shopping,

because I always think something will go wrong with the delivery or fitting of the items. So I thought

that tops would be the safest when it comes to sizes.

believe it when they gave me a big orange Hermès-bag this morning. Inside, I found my very first

Hermès Carré scarf, called 'Jungle Love'. And oh boy, am I in love with it!

I couldn't have wished for a better gift. Now lets hope the rain will stay away just a little bit longer --

We don't want to ruin this baby, now do we?

Hi everyone!

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have read that I went to Maastricht to do some pre-birthday

shopping with my aunt. My birthday isn't 'till this Saturday, but since my aunt owns a restaurant, she

hasn't got that much free time to go out. We had a lot of fun spending some one on one quality time

together. When we got to Aim, my aunt bought me something which I was on my wish list for quite

some time now. Aim sells brands such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Patrizia Pepe, See by Chloé ... and is

definitely worth a visit if you're in Maastricht.

I've been eyeing this clutch for quite some time now, but I somehow never got around to
buy it. When my aunt offered to buy it as a birthday gift, the only 'obstacle' standing
in the way was deciding which color I was going to get. I was doubting between dark grey
and this nude color and after debating for half an hour with my aunt and the saleswoman,
I decided to go for the nude clutch. According to the saleswoman, this color suited my
skin tone better. Thank God she had some arguments to help me decide or I still would
have been in the store as we speak. I also love the flashy colors inside! This bag is
probably not something you would expect me to buy, but I really wanted to go for something completely different and I think clutches like these are all time classics. And another
plus: you actually put quite some stuff in this clutch, since it isn't the teeny tiny
I-can-barely-put-my-cellphone-in-this-thing kind of clutch.

My aunt also decided to get me this cute pink bracelet as an 'extra' gift. She shouldn't
have, though. The clutch was definitely enough! But I had nothing to say in this matter,
so I'm not going to complain too much. I love the fact that this bracelet is the type that
you can wear every day, and not only to special occasions. I'm thinking about wearing it
with my Hermès-bracelet.

presents before your actual birthday brings bad luck. I just don't have the patience for

Feature // Interview for Social Wardrobe

Hi everyone!

A while ago, I was contacted by Charlotte from Social Wardrobe to do an interview about Shark

Attack. What makes it a bit more special, is that she interviews Italian fashion bloggers. As you may, or

may not know, both of my parents are Italian. I know, I don't look like your typical Italian girl - no

Sammi Sweetheart or Deena lookalike here - but nonetheless, I'm still proud of my roots.

So you can imagine that I didn't need too much time to think about whether I would do the interview or

not. Well, my first 'Italian' interview is a fact now! I must thank my mom though, since she helped me

writing it. When it comes to the Italian language, my talking skills are better than my writing skills.

Outfit // Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!

I wish you all a happy and (not too) scary Halloween! I'd love to celebrate Halloween in the USA some

day, since the Americans are some die hard Halloweeners.

Since I have to prepare a major internship during the holidays, I'm not going to dress up tonight. I might

go out with some friends, but nothing too special. After the holidays, I have to teach English and

history at my old high school for 3 week straight and it takes a lot of time to prepare all of the lessons I

have to teach. I'd already like to apologize for all the trees I'll kill during these 4 weeks while copying,

typing my lesson preparation forms, preparing tests / tasks ..., but don't worry -- You will be used well.

Due to my internship, I'm not sure if I'll be able to post a lot, since school is a bigger priority, whether I

like it or not. So please bare with me -- I hope you'll understand and I also hope that I'll still see all of

you again when my internship is over. I do have an exciting event on 11th November, which involves a

collaboration with Coca Cola Light, but I'll keep you updated on that matter. :)

I leave you with some pictures of last year's costume -- My friend Hille and I went clubbing and we

were the only two with Halloween-costumes, along with these other two fellas a.k.a. George W. Bush

and Osama Bin Laden. We won a prize for 'Best Costume' (which is not that hard if only 4 people are

wearing Halloween costumes) and we were given free drinks all night long. Definitely one of the best

nights ever!

New // Film & Fashion

Yesterday, I went shopping in Maastricht where I found these two fashion documentaries for only 16

euros. It was such a bargain, that I couldn't leave them in the store, especially since the left one is a

DVD-box containing 3 DVD's with documentaries about the lives and careers of Christian Dior, Karl

Lagerfeld and Valentino. The DVD about Valentino is the famous documentary 'Valentino: The Last

Emperor'. I never had the chance to see it before, so I'm glad to own it now.

The second DVD is called 'Signé Chanel', which is a documentary about Chanel (duh!), but more

specifically on how Karl and his employees create the haute couture collections. They give you a

detailed look on the first sketches drawn by Karl himself, to the many seamstresses pulling some all

nighters to get the items ready and to the models finally presenting the clothes on the catwalk.

Wearing a Peter Pan-collar and a Tinkerbell-bun -- I got my clothing and hair inspiration from my two

favorite characters out of one of the best Disney-movies ever. The sun is still shining these days, giving

me the chance to wear this shirt designed by my friend and co-blogger Tiany Kiriloff. This shirt was

one of the first items that caught my eye when I had the opportunity to have a preview at her collection

last spring.

If it weren't for the cute collar and color, I'm not sure if I would have bought it. I also bought it in white,

which is a basic item that goes with almost everything and will never ever go out of style. Because of

the popping color of the shirt, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple.

Wanted // Part 3

Most of you will probably be tired of seeing the Yves Saint Laurent Arty Rings all over the Internet,

but I could look at them forever.Already owning the dark blue and light blue Arty Rings, I thought I'd

be more than satisfied... But I'm not. The new collection of Arty Rings hit the (online) stores, and I've

fallen head over heels for this dark red beauty.

I love big, chunky, gold jewelry and the fact that this ring looks like it comes from an ancient treasure

makes it even better. You'll probably think I'm crazy, since I already own two of them but to me, these

rings are one of those items of which you'll never have enough.

My dad's probably going to kill me for buying another one, but knowing myself, I won't be able to

resist. All I have to do now is save up some money... And not to forget that my birthday is coming up

soon! I can't believe I'm turning 22 on the 5th of November, but I'm trying not to think of that too

much.

Outfit // The Doors

For today's outfit I got inspired by one of my all time favorite bands: The Doors. Their lead singer, Jim

Morrison, used to wear these type of outfits all the time, meaning leather pants, leather boots, chunky

belts, a white or black shirt and a leather jacket.

I can still remember the first time I heard a song of The Doors. I think I must have been 14 or 15 years

old and I was watching a movie called 'The Lost Boys'. In the movie, they play The Doors' song called

'People Are Strange' during one of the scenes. There was something about Morrison's voice that got me

completely hooked and I still am today.

Last spring, I finally got to visit Jim Morrison's final resting place. He's buried in the Père Lachaise-

cemetary in Paris. I had been waiting for this opportunity for years and I found it so strange how I could

feel so sad about a person I'd never even met or known in my life. I guess it shows how much music

can affect us. I've put one of my favorite songs in the end of the post, called 'The End'.

This music might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I still wanted to share it with you, since music is a

big part of my life too.

Backstage // Strijk A Pose-tour

Hi loves!

As promised: the backstage pictures of the Strijk A Pose-tour with Belmodo.tv and Philips.

I had a great time and was well taken care of, thanks to Angelique from Belmodo.tv and a professional

team of photographers and make up artists.

The day started with taking a picture of my 'Before'-outfit. Then, it was time to hit the Vero Moda-store

in Hasselt to select some outfits for the photoshoot. I'd also like to thank the sweet girls who work at

Vero Moda for helping us out with everything the crew needed! There were so many items to choose

from, but we somehow managed to create some outfits pretty fast.

After that, it was time for hair and make up. I normally don't wear any make up besides some mascara

and lipstick, adding some foundation and eyeliner if I have a party or special event / occasion to go to.

Nonetheless, I loved the make up and I can't wait to try it out again.

And last but not least: the photoshoot. It was my first time to be part of a professional photoshoot. My

mom always takes my pictures, so posing for a 'stranger' all of the sudden took some adjustment, but

everything went smoothly in the end.

Project // Shark Attack with Belmodo.TV & Philips PerfectCare

As you can tell from the picture above, I'm not a fan of ironing -- And I think I'm not the only one. ;) I

must admit that I've never ironed in my life. Shame on me!

So when Belmodo.tv contacted me for a project with them and Philips to promote their new

PerfectCare iron, the first thing I thought was: "Wow, talk about major contradiction!".

But apparently, the PerfectCare is the new it-iron among all irons:

you can iron all fabrics with it at once - no need to sort your clothes out before ironing - and if you

forget the PerfectCare on a blouse (or other item), don't worry. Somehow, the PerfectCare doesn't burn

your clothes when you forget to turn it off. Being as clumsy as I am, that might be a plus.

That's why I said 'yes', to see it all with my own eyes. And who knows, maybe I'll enjoy ironing after

this. ;)

To promote the PerfectCare, Belmodo.tv and Philips are going on a Strijk A Pose-tour in Belgium,

searching for 12 girls of which one will become the ultimate PerfectCare Lady. They will stop in 6

cities and each city is represented by a fashion blogger and a 'random' girl they'll spot on the streets.

Both girls will get a Vero Moda-make over and will get a street style shoot where they'll have to pose

Outfit // Bling Bling

A little bit of sunshine and no rain was enough for me to finally wear these glitter wedges I got during

my holiday in Crete. While they look like killer machines, they are actually pretty comfortable.

The high-wasted pants are my latest purchase. I got them at COS a couple of days ago. I wasn't too

sure about them, but my mom persuaded me to get them. They're slowly starting to grow on me...

I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately, which also shows on these pictures - sorry for that.

Some people asked me why I always look down on most of my outfit pictures, and to be honest:

I really don't know why I do it. I guess it's my signature pose or something? :D

New // Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have read that I "bought an amazing fashion book at a

ridiculously good price." Since it is a gift for my sister who just moved into her new apartment (hence

the protection foil on the cover), I couldn't reveal the title on Twitter.

Well, now I finally can:

'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty'.

The cover shows a picture of a skull which transforms into Alexander McQueen's face, depending on

how you look at it. I think this book will look great on my sister's coffee table, don't you?

Not being able to go at the 'Savage Beauty'-exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art at New

York, this book is a great option giving a close and detailed look at all the pieces which were displayed

at the exhibition.

The photographs in the book were taken by the talented Sølve Sundsbø, accompanied by inspirational

quotes from McQueen himself. The items displayed at the exhibition were taken from

McQueen's Graduation Collection, from his time at Givenchy and from the Alexander McQueen Archive

as well. At the end of the book, you'll also find an interview with Sarah Burton, who's the Creative

Director of the brand Alexander McQueen today.

I still can't believe Lee Alexander McQueen is really gone, but with great initiatives like these, I'm

positive he will never be forgotten.

Below are just a couple of the many great photographs and items in the book. It's a must have

for every fashion / Alexander McQueen-admirer out there. I'm sure you'll love it!

Last Saturday I was invited to attend the wedding of Nadia, one of my dearest friends.

But it wasn't 'just a wedding'... She's the first of my friends to get married, which always makes it a bit

more special, and even more important:

I've known here since we were both 3 years old.

So you can imagine how emotional we both would get sometimes, like when a couple of girlfriends

and I read a text about our funniest moments together with Nadia, not able to believe how fast time

went by. I still have pictures of the two of us in kindergarden, and I'm proud to have a picture with her

at her wedding day.

Nadia, I'm so glad that I can still call you a friend after 19 years.

I wish you and Robin all the best and all the love in the world.

Event // Miele Catwalk 2011

Last Thursday, I had the honor to attend the Miele Catwalk 2011-event at Brussels.

It was as if the whole Belgian fashion 'world' came together to have a look at Belgium's famous, but

also new and upcoming designers' collections.

This was probably one of the most fun events I attended in my blogging 'career':

I got the chance to talk with Edouard Vermeulen, designer of one of Belgium's most famous fashion

houses Natan, who's a really charming and friendly fella. I even spotted Prince Laurent, a member of

our royal family. As you may know, I'm not a big fan of anything close to royal families (and

everything that comes with it), but it's always strange to bump into a Prince who blended into the crowd

as if he weren't any royalty at all.

Plus, I was in great and fun company, which is always a great ingredient to have a fun night.

I was sitting at the 3rd row, and it was kinda hard to take decent pictures, since the people in front of

me kept moving all the time. Nonetheless, I did my very best and I hope you can appreciate the

pictures.

Mixing bright colors with beige and brown - a combo I'm definitely going to try out this fall / winter.

I loved this collection because it relates most to my personal style:

a more edgy / rock type of girl. The fact that they use sequins in their items is another plus for me.

Give me something shiny and there's a 99 % chance I'll like it. ;) I'm dying to own the sequined pants

on the last picture. That baby is going straight to my 'Must Have'-list.

Jantine Van Peski was all aboutclean and minimalistic silhouettes with quite some see through pieces.

I'm totally in love with the red mini-dress and cape.

LENNY LELEU

Not the type of beach wear I'd wear myself, but they definitely had the most surprising show:

ballerinas working the runway on pointe shoes, making me regret the fact that I never took ballet

classes myself.

SANDRINA FASOLI

A lot of peachy / warm beige colors. I'm not sure if these colors will fit with my skin tone, but I loved

her designs too much to keep them from you. The metallic and black leather pants: J'adore!

AURORE BRUN

That dress: no explanation needed. I love everything about it, from the cut to the fabrics to the colors

mixed together.

NATAN

Thinking of Natan, I immediately link the Belgian fashion house to our royal family, since a lot of

Belgian female royals wear Natan. With the Belgian princesses wearing clothes not even close to my

personal style, I expected a similar collection. Little did I know I was actually going to love the designs

on the runway. Edouard Vermeulen did a great job designing simple, yet very feminine silhouettes,

using a lot of black and white - a touch which I really loved in this collection.

There were a lot of other designers showing their collections, like Tim Van Steenbergen, Scapa, Olivier

Strelli ... but I decided to pick my favorites, which already results in a major picture overload.

I am kind of bummed that my pictures of the Tim Van Steenbergen were crap, since I really liked his

collection too.

I finally got my hands on this knitted cardigan, designed by my friend and co-blogger Tiany Kiriloff.

Some of you may remember Shark Attack attending the preview event of the Tiany Kirilove for Vero

Moda-collection. This cardigan immediately caught my eye that day, and I'm glad to own it now. I'm

usually not a big fan of winter clothes at all - and I don't own that many either - so this cardigan is a

great addition to my winter closet.

The Aerosmith band shirt is one of my purchases during the Forever 21 store preview last week. I'm

such a sucker for band shirts and every time I see one of my favorite bands, I must have it.

Hi everyone!

Here are some random shots from the past days, to show you what I've been up to lately.

I've got some exciting projects coming up concerning Shark Attack, so stay tuned! Some hints? Well,

here are a couple of key words: contests, events, a project with two other Belgian bloggers and a give

away.

I would also like to thank you for your constant love and support. This couldn't nor wouldn't be

I finally got my hands on the September issue of Vogue Paris, covering the gorgeous Charlotte
Casiraghi whom is also known to be member of Monaco's royal family. Let me get this straight: I'm not
a big fan when it comes to royalty, but I'm willing to make an exception for the Grimaldi's / Casiraghi's.
It seems that they're more outgoing and open-minded than most royal families out there. Infidelity?
Sure. Marrying multiple times? Why not. Illegitimate children? Of course. They're human, they make
mistakes and they're not afraid to admit it. That's what I like about the Monaco clan. And, if I'm being
completely honest, I have to admit that I had (okay, still have) a crush on Charlotte's brother Pierre.

These pictures were shot by Mario Testino (no need to explain who he is) and they're just a sneak peek
to a stunning and glamorous photo set. And I just love the Chanel-jacket and denim shorts combo!

Some jewelry I got at Forever 21. With only one hour to spend at the store (and taking pictures for the
blog), I decided to go for the accessories. I saw similar necklaces at Fashionology, but never ordered
them, so I was glad to find these at F21.

My F21 and Hermès-bracelets. I love the edgy vs. classic-effect.

I finally finished the entire L.A. Candy-series, written by Lauren Conrad. They're easy, yet fun to read,

especially when you're on a holiday or have nothing to do. Plus, the books give you a clear view on

how reality shows aren't that real at all sometimes.

Just 3 words: Best. Dessert. Ever.

Since the bill of my Blackberry-subscription was getting ridiculously high, I decided to pull out my old
Samsung again too. Why? So I can text and call with my Samsung, on which I don't have any
subscriptions and I can use my Blackberry to check my emails, use Twitter, surf on the Internet ... I
know, it sounds ridiculous, but it definitely was necessary.

Feature // Forever 21 - The Skinny

The Skinny. I'm still honored each and every time someone comes up, asking if they're allowed to take
a picture of my outfit. Plus, it's a nice opportunity to show you what I wore to the F21-store preview,
since the outfit-pictures I took weren't the best.

Event // Forever 21 Preview

One of the most talked about events in the Belgian blogosphere this year has to be the opening of the

two F21-stores in Belgium:

one in Brussels and one in Antwerp. Yesterday, I had the honor to have a preview of the F21-store in

Antwerp (the official opening will take place this Saturday).

I started the day with meeting up with my fellow bloggers Immanuel, Afrodite, Kim, Gilles and

Stéphanie. We did some pre-shopping and had a delicious pizza at Da Giovanni.

I think we set a new world record called 'Eating a pizza in the fastest way possible' or something,

since we only had 10 minutes left to make it at the F21-store in time.

The store is H-U-G-E: it's a 5000 m², 3-level shopping paradise. I only had an hour to spend at the

store, since I had to catch my train, so I bet I looked like a whirlwind running all over the place.

I need to move to Antwerp ASAP.

As for the clothes, there were a lot of ethnic / indian prints, gem colored items such as sapphire and

amethyst, rock inspired items and much more. As for the curvy girls among us, they also have the

Forever 21+ collection. A saleswoman told me that they

deliver new items every day, and that they deliver every item only once, so they'll always have

something new.

My bank account's not going to like that...

Due to limited time and the unbelievable size of the store, it was hard to capture everything all in

once. I hope my pictures will still give you somewhat an idea of the store, but it's up to you to discover

what the F21-store really has to offer!

Detail // Moschino Love

Moschino... Probably the first 'famous' brand I can remember.

Coming from an Italian family, fashion and looking neat and tidy has always been important and,

patriotic as Italians are, my sister and I were always dressed in Italian brands such as Benetton and

Moschino. When I was 3 years old, my mom bought me a dotted Moschino-dress for a party. Don't ask

me how I did it, but I managed to rip the dress after wearing it for about 10 minutes (Sorry mom!).

My dad bought me these Moschino Love-sneakers on a trip to Sicily. I've had a hate / love-relationship

with these shoes for years - I've only worn them once - but now that I found them again (hidden in the

back of my closet) they're starting to grow on me.

I know these sneakers are those type of shoes you either love or hate, so I'm extremely curious to know

your thoughts. These are not what I usually wear, but I guess they're okay for a relaxing day doing

nothing special.

P.S.: I've added a new section in the left bar of the blog called 'Agenda'. I thought it would be nice to

let you know which events I'll attend the coming weeks. And I must admit that it's also a little reminder

for myself. There are so many events / projects going on, that I tend to mess up my entire schedule!

I wore my Swatch-watch and Hermès-bracelet together today, and thought it looked nice.

Whoever said you can't mix 'expensive' and 'less expensive' items / accessories together needs to get his

or her ass kicked.

I wore the bracelet as a good luck charm to take my re-sit, even if I don't really believe in good luck

Those re-sits are also the reason why I haven't shown my face on the blog lately. I saw a fellow student

of mine again today, and the first thing he said was: "Wow, you look like sh*t!". (Thanks for that, by the

way!) But, he's right. All the stress concerning school, studying and pulling some all nighters are

beginning to show. I'm having my last re-sit this Friday and I'm going to a spa with my best friend on

Saturday. Let's hope they can perform some kind of miracle so I can be yours again ASAP!

boys will be working together?

There isn't, right?

Well, I found out that two of my personal favorites, Andrej Pejic (left) and Rick Genest a.k.a. Zombie

Boy (right) will be starring in the S/S 2012 campaign of Auslander, a Brazilian brand. I've never heard

of Auslander before, shame on me (?), but this is a nice way to get to know a new brand.

New // Clic H by Hermès

Remember the promise my mom made a while ago?

Well, she kept it! I took a break from studying yesterday and went on a quick shopping trip to

Düsseldorf with my mom, sister and brother-in-law. We always know exactly which shops we want to

see when we go to Düsseldorf, which makes it all much easier.

Since my birthday isn't 'till November, I was surprised my mom wanted to buy the bracelet now.

When the saleswoman at Hermès took out the Clic H-bracelets, two colors immediately caught my eye:

orange and a blue / purple kinda mix color.

I wanted to go for the orange bracelet - since it is the Hermès color - but it didn't suit me. So I got the

other bracelet instead. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I received my first little orange box and

bag. Hopefully, there will be more to come! ;)

With a day starting so sunny, who could have imagined the amount of darkness it has left

behind?

A huge (hail) storm flooded most parts of Belgium yesterday, but what's even worse is the fact that the

storm killed 5 people and injured many more at Pukkelpop, one of Belgium's biggest music festivals.

I took the pictures above and below before realizing the damage the storm really caused, transforming it

to one of the darkest days is Belgium's (music) history. But still,there's a teeny tiny light at the end of

the tunnel:

Twitter suddenly turned into a platform to help people find their friends and family who were gone

missing because of all the chaos at the festival. People from all over thecountry opened up their hearts

and homes to help those who couldn't return home, offeringbeds, warm clothes, food ...It's amazing

how strangers can become so close in times of need.

As for Facebook, I have no words... Only minutes after the tragedy at Pukkelpop, groups such as 'I

survived Pukkelpop 2011' and 'I'm glad I didn't attend Pukkelpop 2011' poppedup, making me

absolutely sick. It's so inappropriate I can't even describe it.

I also added some pictures of a shoot I did, but decided to post them in black and white.

Because of my re-sits I probably won't have the time to post them the coming days - which is why I'm

posting them now - but it also seemed kind of wrong to put them in bright colors up here with the entire

nation still in shock of what happened.

Call me corny or whatever, it just feels better this way.

My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone affected by the tragedy at Pukkelpop.

P.S.: I decided to pick the most neutral and serene pictures, so I'm sorry if some of them look alike.

Inspiration // Frances Bean Cobain by Hedi Slimane

"... I suddenly wanted to dress differently, to wear clothes designed by Hedi Slimane”, Karl Lagerfeld

said when he lost about 40 kg back in 2001.

You might know Hedi Slimane from his contributions to Christian Dior - and especially Dior Homme -

but I've always loved him for his photography.

As a huge Nirvana-fan, I was surprised to see Frances Bean Cobain pop up on Slimane's website. For

those who might not know her:

Frances Bean Cobain is the daughter of the late Nirvana-frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.

I hadn't read about Frances Bean Cobain for a long time, only knowing that the relationship with her

mother is a bit 'strained' now, to say the least. I do still remember the famous picture of Frances as

a baby in her father's arms, though.

When I saw these black and white-pictures of Frances, I was stunned. Still imagining her as a little

baby, I couldn't believe that she was the fully grown up, young woman in the pictures. I find her

absolutely beautiful and I love the dark touch in the pictures. As for the tattoos -- I'm a big fan of

tattoos, so hers aren't an exception. They're not all my cup of tea, but I always liked certain quotes,

from a song or a book for example, as a tattoo.

Am I the only one who feels a new it-girl coming up here?

I'm going to quit nagging now and hope that you enjoyed the pictures as much as I did.

Wanted // Jewel Heritage

While I was in Crete, I was flipping through a copy of the British Grazia-magazine, when I saw this

gorgeous ring from Jewel Heritage. If you're a regular reader of Shark Attack, you must know that I'm

a big fan of big, chunky, golden jewelry. When I saw this ring, called the 'Harbinger of Death' (how

cool is that?), I could already imagine it on one of my fingers.

Jewel Heritage was founded by two sisters which get their inspiration from death, symbols, mythology

... resulting in super cool jewelry. Being a total history geek, mythology and symbols have always

intrigued me but I'm aware that these jewels may not be everyone's cup of tea.

And which makes it even better: their jewelry is absolutely affordable! The ring above costs £ 60 - Not

bad, right?

Now, lets hope my mom will give me her credit card so I can buy this beauty, since she thought the

ring was scary and gave her goosebumps.

New // Acne Pistol Boots

Yes, I know, another pair of shoes -- I have a problem.

Remember when I asked you on Twitter if I should go for an Hermès-bracelet or the Pistol Boots by

Acne? When I told my mom about it, she said: "Let me buy that Hermès-bracelet for your birthday. I

wouldn't know what to buy you otherwise." (Lets see if she still remembers that promise when my

birthday arrives in November). So I decided to buy the Pistol Boots myself, since I'd saved up some

money.

Yesterday, I took a break from studying and went on a quick shopping trip to Antwerp with my friend

Laura. She needed some make-up from Mac and I wanted to buy the boots, since my friend and co-

blogger Afrodite told me the all black Pistol Boots were still available in Antwerp.

The rain was pouring when we arrived at the Renaissance-store, only to find out the all black Pistol

Boots weren't in my size anymore. The saleswoman tried to force the Pistol Boots with the brown sole

and heel on me, but I'm not a big fan of those.

We then decided to go to the Acne-store and as soon as we were on our way, it stopped raining. I told

my friend it was a good sign and I was right. As soon as I entered the store, I saw them: the Pistol

Boots, all black, in my size.

They're not the cheapest pair of boots, but they super basic - which means you can combine them with

practically everything -, the quality is great and they're very comfortable. If you still don't want to spend

so much money on them, there are super cool lookalikes available at Sasha at the moment!

P.S.: As you can see, my blog is back to normal thanks to my brother-in-law. Thanks, Koen!

New // Glitters

The last addition to my closet are these sparkly wedges I found during my trip to Crete.

If you're a shoe addict as I am, you should definitely visit Crete's capital Heraklion.

There are tons of shoe stores which sell shoes at very reasonable prices.

While I'm still figuring out what I'm gonna wear with these babies, my mom already told me I can't

wear them when I go out with her. My mom isn't the tallest person on earth and me standing next to her

wearing these shoes makes me ... Well ... Rather tall. I know my mom's just kidding, though.

New // Haircut

During my childhood and teenage years, I've had quite some different hairdos (one a bit worse than the

other): red, pink, bronze, black, black with white extensions, a bunch of colored extensions mixed

together, ... After I saw Beyoncé's hairdo in the 'Bootylicious' video, I also wanted the tips of my hair

colored, so I just did it. My parents never forbid me to do something - sometimes a lot - different with

my hair and told me to just do it if I wanted to.

This morning, I went to the hairdresser to "only get the tips cut", since they were totally ruined from the

sun and salty sea water during my stay in Greece. Sitting there, while waiting my turn, I was flipping

through some magazines when I saw a picture of Alice Dellal, a Brazilian model. She has half of her

hair shaved and I always loved it on her. That's when I thought to myself: "That's what I want!". The

only exception is that I didn't go dramatic and decided to only shave the 'front' part. School will be

starting again next month and the hairdresser assured me that you won't see the difference that much

anymore by that time, but I still decided to keep it a bit 'subtle' (if you can call it that), just in case.

So, as they say: "Tadaaaa!". This is a do you either love or hate -- My mom doesn't like it and I'm still

waiting for my dad to see it. :D

As for your opinion... SHOOT!
